Capturing Game Footage
So guys, if you are looking to earn yourself a sports scholarship to a university in the USA one thing you are going to need, is decent game footage.
Coaches and their scouts will sort through hours of game footage from potential players they are considering making scholarship offers to.
So it is important to get the best highlights from you as possible while keeping the highlight reel to a max of 5 minutes. If after seeing your initial highlights a coach becomes potentially interested in making you an offer then it is time to show them full game footage.
What should I Use To Capture The Footage?
If your games are not regularly filmed already then you will need to arrange someone to help capture the footage for you or have a friend or family member help you out.
The video itself does not to have to be amazing quality but needs to be clear enough for coaches to make an informed decision on your playing ability.
Players can use their smartphones to capture the footage as long as it is clear. If using a smartphone it is recommended you purchase a tripod for it which can be found on amazon for as little as £15.
Home video cameras are also another option you can easily use. Again using a tripod will increase the quality and reduce any shaking from the person recording.
If you want to have your footage captured professionally then you can contact us directly to help make the arrangements or alternatively you can make your own arrangements.
Remember that good game footage of you is going to increase your chances of earning a sports scholarship in the USA. The better your footage the better your sports scholarship offer is likely to be.
